About the event
Labor Day Weekend is right around the corner and your Parade Committee has been preparing for this year’s parade theme of “Gone Fishing”. We are now in need of YOUR help in a variety of ways!
1. CALL FOR FLOAT ASSEMBLY VOLUNTEERS to help with decorations Friday evening August 29th. BBQ dinner and art supplies will be provided. RSVP to danastirn@gmail.com by 8/25 so we can provide an appropriate amount of food and paintbrushes.
2. CALL FOR PARADE PARTICIPANTS for Saturday morning, August 30th. Staging begins at 9 am with parade starting at 10 am. Show up wearing fishing gear (boots, waders vests, hats, poles, bait box, etc.). If you have a fish costume, that’s great too (Maggie and Boots - "the frenchies" - will be dressed up as goldfishes). We will also have some underwater accessories for anyone who needs "a little something special". You’re welcome to walk or ride…
